After a hugely successful expansion in 2023, the SUNUS Point-of-Care course is back in 2025 to deliver ultrasound training for Core Emergency Medicine (EM), Focused Acute Medicine Ultrasound (FAMUS) as well as the rapidly evolving field of POCUS in Paediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM).

Our next course will be held on Friday 28th March 2025 at the Clarion Hotel in Boldon, Sunderland. The one-day course will include training on common themes of ultrasound science and knobology, free fluid assessment, vascular access and POCUS governance before dividing into streams focussing on the specifics of POCUS in EM, FAMUS and PEM detailed below.

The core course faculty are consultant level specialists in their field with extensive experience and post-graduate qualifications in POCUS. They will be teaching using the latest user-friendly GE POCUS machines on live models as well as state-of-the-art Bodyworks Ultrasound Simulator to demonstrate real pathologies.
